Job Description

Offshore Contracts Manager role requires expertise in procurement strategies, contract management, and client engagement for large-scale offshore infrastructure projects.

The Offshore Delivery function is responsible for the successful delivery of large-scale strategic offshore infrastructure projects, central to the achievement of our transition to a low-carbon future.

The team oversees the management and programme coordination of cross-functional work required to deliver Connection Projects and Asset Readiness Projects, culminating in offshore transmission assets being connected and handed over to Eir Grid's Owner-Operatorship.

As Offshore Contracts Manager, you will:

  • Assist in the development of new Offshore Frameworks and define the Procurement Strategy in liaison with key business functions to ensure Eir Grid requirements are fully met in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Lead all procurement activity on current frameworks to ensure key regulatory, legal, and commercial governance policies and processes are properly addressed and managed in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the entire partner lifecycle, including calling off strategic relationships, onboarding, service delivery, and offboarding activities.
  • Communicate to management on supply chain developments and provide regular market intelligence updates highlighting any risks on our critical business path as early as possible.

You will provide professional procurement expertise to deliver on key business objectives and collaborate closely with the commercial team in Finance.

The Infrastructure Office within Eir Grid comprises highly skilled professionals with backgrounds in engineering and business/commerce.

Successful candidates will have:

  • 3rd level Qualification in Supply Chain Management/Engineering/Business/Law or equivalent.
  • 10+ years' experience in utilities and/or public sector tendering.
  • Proven experience of working in contract management, client engagement, and/or service delivery.
  • Expertise in the procurement of services or products within or destined for the offshore/onshore energy industry.
  • Working knowledge of purchasing tools, platforms, and processes.
  • Understanding of the financial analysis and reporting of project budgets.
