Automation Engineer Job Description:

- Join ECIA Team as an Automation Engineer working on Water and Wastewater Treatment projects.

- Travel to Veolia sites, plants and offices across Ireland.

- Work with a diverse team on exciting projects and develop your skill-set.

- Collaborate with the in-house Design team and liaise with clients.

- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with contractual and process requirements.

- Conduct site surveys and develop drawings, layouts and designs.

- Adhere to Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards on-site.

- Required skills:

* Degree in Automation Engineering or equivalent experience.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Knowledge of the water and wastewater treatment industry.

* Clean driving license.

* Experience with automation, instrumentation and drive networks (e.g. Modbus serial, ProfiBus, DeviceNET, Ethernet/IP, Modbus/TCP).

* Proficiency with Schneider Automation and experience with Rockwell, Omron or Mitsubishi automation.

* Programming SCADA systems (e.g. AVEVA System Platform, Vijeo Citect & Rockwell).

Key responsibilities:

* Plan and manage automation projects from initial brief to programming, installation and commissioning.

* Control, develop and modify software on PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.

* Commission project installations on site and prepare technical reports.

* Train personnel on-site and in-house.

* Provide on-site support and complete Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests.

* Design automation systems and network architectures.

* Evaluate EICA equipment, subcontractors and suppliers.

* Ensure works are carried out in accordance with contractual and process requirements.
