Job Description

On behalf of our Engineering Client in Limerick, we are looking for an Electrical Team Leader to join their Engineering team.

This is a great opportunity to work within a specialist role focusing on preventative maintenance breakdowns.


About the role:

  • Oversee the maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution processes for both reactive and preventative measures.
  • Ensure uniformity in maintenance practices across the site and collaborate with maintenance colleagues to identify and implement best practices.
  • Lead efforts in data analysis and root cause investigations to enhance problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary contact for maintenance issues and manage the escalation process when necessary.
  • Work with various departments to ensure the Maintenance team effectively prioritises maintenance tasks.
  • Supervise and mentor direct reports, providing guidance and coaching.
  • Adopt a hands-on approach to predictive, preventative, and reactive maintenance, promoting knowledge sharing within the Engineering team.
  • Actively promote Health and Safety by leading by example, raising awareness and maintaining safe work environments.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Extensive experience in maintenance engineering within industrial or highvolume manufacturing settings.
  • Profound technical knowledge of electrical systems, adept in interpreting codes, regulations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, motivating team members towards project objectives.
  • Quick problemsolving abilities for complex technical breakdowns.
  • Comprehensive understanding of current Electrical Regulations and Standards.
  • Proficiency in preventative maintenance systems and practices.

Requirements:

  • Holds a relevant Electrical trade qualification or Electrical Engineering degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated independence and strong organizational skills.
  • Experienced with controls, PLCs, software, and automated equipment.
