Job Description
Engineering Technician (4x Shift Cycle) in South Dublin: 4-Cycle Shift (Days and Nights) with 2 x 12-hour days, 2 x 12-hour nights, and 4 days off. Key responsibilities:
* Installation, maintenance, overhaul, adjustment, and modification of production equipment
* Troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives
* Reducing downtime and waste, dealing with breakdowns, and fine-tuning production equipment
* Validating new and existing equipment
* Liaising with vendors and suppliers
* Analyzing customer complaints and drawing up improvement programs
* Training other Engineering Technicians and new recruits
* Participating in company-wide continuous improvement initiatives
* Maintaining recording and reporting systems
* Utilizing IT systems e.g. SAP
* Maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping
Requirements:
* Good knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems associated with high-volume manufacturing equipment
* Third Level Qualification or National Craft Certificate
* Additional specialised training and experience
* Relevant industrial experience in high-volume manufacturing
* Ability to apply a scientific approach to problem solving
* Teamwork and initiative skills
* Relevant PC skills
