Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking an Estimator to provide tender costs for Architectural Fit-out projects in Cleanrooms / Data Centres / Battery Facilities in Ireland, UK & Mainland Europe. The ideal candidate will have a Construction management or surveying third-level qualification, CIOB/SCSI, and good knowledge of contracts, construction materials, methods, and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check and acknowledge tender documents and amendments.
- Abstract information into subcontract and material packages.
- Select subcontract and material suppliers.
- Organise copy of tender documents and amendments for appropriate parties.
- Ensure tendering processes are fully implemented.
- Arrange pricing document production.
- Enter pricing document onto estimating system.
- Rate up pricing document.
- Price from First-Principles.
- Answer queries from subcontractors/suppliers.
- Liaise with Client/Design Team during tender process.
- Identify scope for design alternatives and value engineering.
- Appraise sub-contractor/supplier quotations.
- Price up Prelims, in conjunction with Senior Estimator / Construction Manager.
- Finalise “Tender Summary Sheet” prior to Adjudication Meeting.
- Attend Adjudication Meeting and present tender.
- Highlight any areas of concern / risk in cost proposal.
Requirements:
- Construction management or surveying third-level qualification.
- CIOB/SCSI.
- Good knowledge of contracts and contract agreements, construction materials, methods, and technologies.
- Planning techniques, procurement, and management systems.
- Health and Safety.
