Job Description

Join an expanding team as a Financial Accountant to provide financial support to the Financial Controller by meeting reporting requirements within deadlines.

Key responsibilities include managing financial transactions, reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Tasks include preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts, and preparing control account reconciliations.

  • Preparation and management of financial records including monthly and quarterly management accounts, invoices, receipts, payments, and other general ledger transactions.
  • Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts.
  • Preparation and management of control account reconciliations including intercompany accounts.
  • Preparation of cash flow projections, forecasts, and capital expenditure reports.
  • Monitoring and managing cash flow to ensure adequate funds are available for operational needs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial advice and support in decision-making processes. Analyze and interpret financial data to inform management decisions.

Preparation and review of Tax/VAT returns and other regulatory/compliance requirements. Support with payroll related activities and assist in adhoc reports and project work as required.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Newly Qualified or part qualified (finalist) accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA).
  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent IT/financial systems experience with strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize work schedule and work within agreed timescales.
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability with high accuracy.
  • Experience in audit and/or Corporate Finance preferable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA
