Freelance Event Specialist needed in Dublin, Ireland to manage logistics of in-person events, requiring corporate event experience, entrepreneurial spirit, and strong communication skills.

We are looking for a Freelance Event Specialist to join our team in Dublin, Ireland. The ideal candidate will have experience in complex, large-scale events and smaller executive-level intimate events, and be able to problem-solve on the fly.
The Freelance Event Specialist will be responsible for:
- Managing the logistics of in-person events, including setup, alignment with the on-site team, and tear down
- Joining virtual planning meetings with all parties involved
- Ensuring a high-quality customer experience
- Aligning roles and responsibilities with the onsite team
- Managing the check-in process for in-person events
- Problem-solving issues such as missing supplies, late staff, and technology challenges
- Escalating issues to the Events Team when necessary
- Sending updates, photos, and videos to the Events Team throughout the event
- Helping to clean the site and repackaging and shipping materials back to the distribution center after the event ends
The ideal candidate will have:
- Fluency in English and strong communication skills
- Experience in complex, large-scale events and smaller executive-level intimate events
- Resourcefulness and ability to exhibit grace under pressure
- Quick thinking and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter who is organized and detail-oriented
- Experience with group facilitation and managing group dynamics
- Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed
- Willing and eager to travel to various areas of the local region
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, especially in fast-paced situations
- Able to wear many hats and take on varied tasks and projects
- Comfort being present and interacting with large crowds
The Freelance Event Specialist will be required to:
- Lift, slide, and carry up to 30lbs
- Stand for an extended period of time
This is an on-location, in-person, per-event contract role in Dublin, Ireland. The role is open only to those candidates already based in Dublin, Ireland.
