We're the people who keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and servers to ensure our customers have continual access to innovation. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and need talented engineers to help. You'll join a diverse team to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest cost. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to design and innovate high voltage electrical systems for our rapidly expanding data center footprint. Our engineers achieve world-class uptime for customers by designing resilient, cost-effective electrical distribution systems, and you'll have the ability to drive change and define/design the systems our customers rely on. You'll be responsible for taking designs from initial concept to the permit and construction document set, defining critical equipment specifications, and approving equipment submittals. You'll work with internal teams, vendors, and manufacturers to specify equipment, and work with local agencies to ensure compliance with design codes and requirements. You'll also review and approve equipment submittals, and provide technical support for construction phases. You'll have the opportunity to work on concurrent projects, travel to sites, and be a leader within the global group. We're looking for engineers with hands-on electrical design experience, excellent understanding of code requirements, and leadership skills. Ideal candidates will have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, experience with fast track design/build projects, and knowledge of building codes and regulations.
