Job Description

Seeking a Litigation Solicitor with 2 years of post-qualification experience in dispute resolution and litigation to join a top law firm in Ireland.

Our exclusive law firm hiring partner is one of Ireland's leading legal practices, employing approximately 600 people. They provide top-quality legal advice and representation to both Irish and international clients, primarily in the corporate, financial, and business sectors, while also advising government entities, state bodies, pension funds, and educational institutions.

The Dispute Resolution & Litigation Group serves a wide range of clients, particularly those in the corporate and financial sectors. As a trusted advisor, the group is often the first point of contact for major corporations facing disputes or seeking advice on potentially contentious matters.

The successful candidate will become part of a high-performance team with a culture of collaboration and mutual support. The group serves a balanced mix of public and private sector clients, offering a diverse range of contentious work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on all aspects of contentious commercial matters across a variety of sectors, including advisory work and participation in various forums such as civil proceedings, inquiries, regulatory investigations, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes;
  • Preparing for and participating in complex trials, including some with jury involvement;
  • Developing and advising on strategies to achieve client objectives while managing risk;
  • Applying analytical and research skills to develop legal arguments and identify critical evidence;
  • Engaging in negotiations to achieve client goals;
  • Advising on and coordinating large-scale discovery and document review exercises;
  • Contributing to the group's business development and knowledge management initiatives.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

  • 2 years of post-qualification experience in litigation, investigations, and dispute resolution;
  • Strong judgment and decision-making abilities;
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with a high degree of commercial awareness;
  • Outstanding organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload and meet client needs consistently;
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • A keen interest in maintaining, developing, and sharing relevant legal knowledge;
  • Experience with remote and/or in-person court hearings.

Education:

  • Be a qualified solicitor in Ireland;
  • Have an excellent academic background.
