Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineers required for an Agricultural machinery manufacturing company in Mayo.

Key Responsibilities:

- Production of 3D Models and 2D Fabrication Drawings for customised machines based on the specification to include hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic elements.

- Working on Solidworks on a number of new and existing machine and product designs.

- Prototyping (some hands on with fitting Team).

- Liaise with Sales and production staff to produce detailed specifications and designs based on individual customer requirements.

- Liaise with production management and staff prior to and during fabrication and assembly of customised machines.

- Generation and Maintenance of User and Technical Manuals for finished machines.

- Provide Technical support as part of the after sales service.

Essential Criteria:

- Have a hands on approach and can-do attitude.

- Degree in engineering or qualified by experience.

- + 2 years Design experience.

- Strong capabilities in Design for Manufacture.

- Competence in use of Solid Works 3D modelling.

- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

Desirable Criteria:

- Ideally worked within the Agricultural or Construction Machinery design and manufacturing industry.

- Have worked within a manufacturing design department.

- Machine or Vehicle design experience.

- PDM experience.

- Whole product CAD experience.
