Safety Advisor Role Summary
a highly reputable Construction Contractor seeks an experienced Safety Advisor for a project in Galway, Ireland, with a focus on commercial building construction. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in setting up teams for success and building professional relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing company Health and Safety Strategy
- Audit workplaces to ensure compliance with current safety legislation and standards
- Conduct weekly site safety inspections and audits
- Compile and maintain records and reports using an online EHS system
- Monitor Health and Safety performance and prepare reports
- Advise tender and prequalification teams on Health and Safety submissions
- Identify learning and development requirements for staff
- Coach staff in Health and Safety expectations and standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a health and safety position within the construction industry
- Third level qualification in health and safety/occupational health and safety
- Excellent written/verbal communication, time management and organisation skills
