Technical Life Cycle & Engineering Manager sought for a leading Medical Device organisation in Galway. The role leads a multi-functional team in the development and production of medical devices used for stroke treatment. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise and oversight, collaborate with R&D, and lead project management activities.
Key responsibilities include:
Demonstrating proven hands-on engineering skills in process development
Manufacturing activity at contract manufacturing organisations, including product builds, quality issue resolution, process development, and technical training
Providing technical leadership for the manufacturing transfer of new products and changes to existing products
Developing and implementing equipment and/or process improvements to improve efficiency and product yield
Leading the implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment to support new product assembly
Representing Supply Chain on strategic new projects
Requirements include:
Mechanical or biomedical engineering degree
Proven experience within a GMP regulated Medical Device Industry
Project Management experience or key core team member
Experience in special processes such as catheter assembly, polymer processing, and metal processing
People management experience leading a team of engineers
