Overview: GVSPE are seeking an Operational Resilience Manager to lead our organisation's efforts in proactively managing operational risks, ensuring business continuity, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and oversee operational resilience strategies and practices, enabling our organisation to withstand disruptions, adapt to change, and minimize the impact of adverse events. This role is critical to safeguarding our operations, reputation, and stakeholder trust. Responsibilities: Manage and enhance the operational resilience strategy that aligns with organisational goals and industry best practices. Identify, assess, and mitigate operational resilience risks, including those related to cyber threats, natural disasters, pandemic, supply chain disruptions, regulatory changes. Maintain and update Operational Resilience Policy and Framework to ensure robust incident management response and business continuity plans, ensuring the organisation's ability to recover quickly and efficiently from disruptions. Collate, report, and challenge quarterly Operational Resilience Management Information on behalf of the Management Team to ensure that GVSPEs critical business services are identified, and underlying dependencies and activities are correctly mapped and assessed. Report to GVSPE management board on Operational Resilience performance and developments. Monitor and assess the organisation's compliance with industry and regulatory requirements related to operational resilience and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise strategies to reduce recovery time and enhance overall operational efficiency. Conduct regular risk assessments and scenario planning to identify vulnerabilities and develop strategies to address them. Provide training and guidance to employees to build a culture of operational resilience and ensure that all staff members understand their roles during disruptions. Stay informed about emerging threats and industry best practices, adapting the operational resilience strategy accordingly. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the organisation to learn from past incidents and make necessary improvements. Link and strengthen existing capabilities to include but not be limited to, outsourcing oversight, Incident Management, Crisis Management, IT Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity Management and Communications. Complete lessons learned exercise that identifies areas for enhancement to reduce single points of failures. Qualifications: Proven experience in operational resilience and risk management, outsourcing oversight or business continuity, with 5+ years of experience in similar role. A strong technical background. In-depth knowledge of operational risk management, regulatory compliance, and business continuity planning. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to a wide range of stakeholders. Demonstrated project management skills and experience in operating in an environment with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for operational resilience and risk management. A strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate potential risks and develop proactive strategies.
