Job Description An Post Commerce (APC) is undertaking a transformation programme aimed at improving, sustaining and growing our operational platform. We are looking for a structured and innovative Operational Systems Manager who will take ownership of a suite of systems, ensuring the platform can effectively serve the needs of the business to deliver on current and future strategic objectives. You will be responsible initially, for the following systems: Collections, Track and Trace, GeoRoute, and Route Overview along with other potential future systems. This is an evolving role that is new to the business. Reporting to the Head of Ops Solutions and working as part of an exciting, dynamic and multi-disciplined team you will focus on both immediate needs and future solutions. You will work closely with key collaborators and knowledge experts. You will immerse yourself with relevant business owners across the An Post Commerce Operations (APC Ops) team to review what optimum daily operations looks like and what is required from our systems to achieve that. Responsibilities The responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following: Provide a business outline that defines the goals and objectives of the systems required today and in the future for APC Ops including but not limited to Track and Trace, Collections, GeoRoute, Route Overview and any other future systems. Owns each system's roadmap in APC Ops and collaborates with Business owners and the Business Systems Manager to envision the required functionalities of each system. Work with the business data owners and stewards to understand the day to day requirements as well as all associated data, logic and required governance. Ensure standards and best practices are maintained and any regulatory requirements. Owner of the budget for systems enhancements in APC and manages any required maintenance contracts. Plan & execute a structured strategic roadmap review of all systems associated with Operations, working closely with the An Post Group Technology Solutions (GTS) team and Business Systems Manager to ensure the strategies align. Build a communication plan to ensure alignment on an ongoing basis of all key partners from Operations and the wider business. Identify potential consolidations, or removal of operational systems/processes/areas without sacrificing business functionality/data integrity. Provide input, along with other key customers, into business cases as required Demonstrate An Post's values and behaviours in your day to day work and address behaviour that supports/conflicts with them. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelors or Graduate Degree in Business, IT or Engineering and/or demonstrate strong validated experience, preferably within an operational environment. You will have at least 5 years experience in technical project/programme management along with a working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and Project Management skill set. You will have proven experience of acting as systems owner for multiple systems and a background in enhancing and developing systems to support business requirements. You will possess analytical rigour, strong business judgement and decision-making skills and will be able to demonstrate a consistent track record of achievement with evidently growing levels of responsibility. You are proficient with running budgets, business case development, and supply chain leadership exercises. Results-focused and highly motivated you are a self-starter with a strong strategic outlook who consistently strives for continuous improvement. You develop productive working relationships with relevant collaborators and influence effectively across all levels in the organisation. Outstanding partner management abilities are crucial for this role. Your interpersonal abilities will enable you to consistently deliver quality outputs to tight deadlines while balancing multiple assignments simultaneously. Experience in successfully leading change in a large business environment is desirable.
