Operations Director sought for Medtech manufacturing organisation in Connacht, to lead strategy, planning, and management of all aspects of operations, ensuring cost, compliance, and customer requirements are met.

Our client, a Medtech manufacturing organisation, is seeking an Operations Director to provide organisational leadership onsite, ensuring operations goals and company KPIs are achieved within a regulated c GMP manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will lead strategy, planning, and management of all aspects of operations on the manufacturing site, ensuring that cost, compliance and customer requirements are met.

The ideal candidate will be a proven Operations leader, with a demonstrated successful track record of deliver in large regulated commercial manufacturing environments.

This hire will exercise a people centred approach in their management style and possess a track record in developing a high performing team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading strategy, planning, and management of all aspects of operations on the manufacturing site
  • Ensuring cost, compliance and customer requirements are met
  • Developing and implementing operational strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Leading and managing a high performing team
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Honours Bachelor's Degree (level 8) in Science, Engineering, Business or similar technical discipline
  • 10+ years Operations Management experience, with proven track record in a regulated manufacturing/operations environment and working with EH&S legislation
  • Proven leadership experience in successfully developing self, others and function
  • Strategic vision & execution, with associated business acumen
  • OPEX, Lean and/or Continuous Improvement experience
  • Track record in people motivation, organisation development and team building experience
  • Proven relationship building & management experience, including effective stakeholder management expertise
  • Experience in electronic quality management and document systems (EQMS, EDMS), manufacturing execution systems (MES)
  • SAP an advantage
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills, with leadership team and/or board
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills
