Company OverviewLeading innovative Biopharma company that discovers, develops and commercializes innovative medicines globally.Role OverviewAs the Director of Manufacturing Operations, you will spearhead the strategic direction of our Manufacturing function. You will be responsible for the overall performance, including safety, quality compliance, delivery, and cost. This role involves coordinating department activities, managing budgets, and leading strategic initiatives to ensure the sustainable delivery of quality products to patients. You will also work closely with senior and executive management to develop and deploy operational strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for Manufacturing Operations.Operational Performance: Oversee and ensure the safety, quality compliance, delivery, and cost-effectiveness of the Manufacturing function.Issue Resolution: Provide direction and assistance in resolving complex issues related to safety, quality compliance, or supply.Financial Management: Manage budgeting, cost control, and financial performance of Manufacturing Operations.Contract Management: Oversee the performance of contract personnel and providers supporting Operations.People Strategy: Implement strategies to develop staff for career progression, ensuring agility and readiness for future needs. Ensure Individual Development Plans (IDPs) are aligned with future business needs.Strategic Development: Collaborate with senior and executive management to develop and deploy operational strategies.CAPA Leadership: Lead investigations and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) recommendations related to Manufacturing Operations.Regulatory Interface: Represent the company to regulatory agencies, managing interactions with authorities and inspectors.Performance Measurement: Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure functional performance and effectiveness.Project Leadership: Lead key new product introductions (NPIs), operational, and capital projects.Escalation Point: Act as a point of escalation for complex or high-impact manufacturing issues and decisions.Knowledge And SkillsExpertise in operational management, group management, operational excellence, capital planning, project management, and strategic planning.Strong track record in leadership and strategic management.Competence in budget management, resource, and capacity planning for a large function.Experience in master production scheduling, finite scheduling cycles, and execution tracking.Ability to independently exercise judgment, motivate teams, and deliver appropriate solutions.Capability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.Experience in engaging, developing, and retaining talent.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Advanced skills in project management, change management, and stakeholder management.Self-motivated with effective planning and prioritization skills.Strong organizational and project management abilities.Education And ExperienceExtensive experience with a BS or related fields.A Master's degree, PhD, or advanced business degree such as an MBA is desirable.Formal qualifications in Operational Excellence (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt, Lean) are desirable.Extensive experience in Operations Management within Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical manufacturing or distribution.Deep knowledge of industry best practices and trends.Strong knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and regulatory requirements for biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution. #J-18808-Ljbffr
