Operations and Engineering Manager sought to lead day-to-day operations and engineering teams in a multinational manufacturing company.
Key responsibilities include managing operations to ensure continuous supply of products, collaborating with TPMs to optimize process efficiency, spearheading improvement projects, and building a high-performing team.
Additional duties include providing technical guidance, communicating with senior leadership, and leveraging operational excellence principles to deliver optimum production outputs.
Qualifications include a minimum NFQ level 7 qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing Science, or similar, knowledge of design control and validation in a GMP environment, and a proven track record of managing complex projects.

Job Description
Manage day-to-day operations to ensure continuous supply of products.
- Collaborate with TPMs to optimize process efficiency (OEE & Yield)
- Spearhead improvement projects to ensure they are properly controlled, executed, and approved
- Build and lead a high-performing team aligned with business strategy
- Focus on creating a talent pipeline
- Collaborate with support functions and TPMs to maintain excellent working relationships
- Provide technical guidance and support as part of the Eng team
- Communicate effectively to Senior Leadership on Root Cause, Corrective, and Preventative Actions
- Leverage operational excellence principles to deliver optimum production outputs
- Action tactical plans to support strategic objectives
- Generate, control, and deliver applicable financial plans
- Establish goals and ensure best practice engineering standards are maintained
- Develop staff to become process SMEs
- Review and agree on engineering resource levels
- Ensure Department quality system is implemented and maintained
Qualifications and Education
- Minimum NFQ level 7 qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing Science, or similar
- Knowledge of design control and validation in a GMP environment
- Proven track record of managing and successfully delivering complex projects
- Ability to manage cross-functional relationships
- Experience in improvement and optimization of complex automation equipment
- Proven problem solver with ability to set clear strategy and prioritize
- Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Ability to take prompt action to accomplish objectives
