Elusav Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Energy Centre Operations Managerto join an innovation-driven digital infrastructure organisation of industry-leading experts in Dublin, Ireland.


The Energy Centre Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all Engineering and facilities functions with regards to the company infrastructure.

This includes the management, supervision and delivery of engineering and facilities management services teams.

Responsibilities:
Work with Group HQ to set strategic objectives for the site and manage the implementation of those objectives.


Ensure that the engineering teams, are trained and competent to act as the first line response in the event of an incident or fault on site plant or infrastructure in order to minimise the potential and frequency for outages.

Manage a rigorous change management system to ensure 100% uptime and zero customer impact/downtime is achieved across the facility.

Have responsibility for Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) within the energy centre environment.

Manage the training of staff in the areas of electrical CP and SAP.

Identify operational deficiencies and recommend improvements to be implemented on site.

Ensure that all operational standards and compliance requirements are implemented.


Ensure adherence to Company policies, standards, processes and procedures and act as a champion in embedding them into day-to-day activities.


Oversee site systems and critical facilities equipment such as: Energy centre BMS/CAFM; Mechanical systems; Electrical systems; Cooling and power supplies.

Plan, implement, coordinate and supervise all mechanical/electrical operations, maintenance, and energy management programs regarding the Energy Centre platforms.


Act as an authorised person for the safe systems of work (SSOW) for both High Voltage and Low Voltage systems.

Manage the site Permit to Work (PTW) system.

Ensure that Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are reviewed and used for all maintenance activities.

Ensure all maintenance logbooks are current and completed in line with respective compliance.

Oversee scheduling of planned preventive maintenance, contracted maintenance, and general maintenance to ensure minimum disruption to service delivery.

Recommend/implement improvements to the preventive maintenance programme.

Devise technical enhancements to improve delivery of operations and services.

Understand the engineering design and operational aspect of each building system.

Manage incident and emergency response situations (i.e.

security incidents, fires, evacuation, equipment failures etc.).

Participate in the company On-Call rota as first line escalation.

Be available to work outside normal business hours, at nights and weekends as and when required.

Review service failures and produce incident reports and corrective action plans as required.


Plan, instigate, oversee, and evaluate scenario training exercises to ensure all elements and resources of the site team fully understand how to respond and perform in the event of an incident or emergency.

Monitor metrics, deliverables and outputs and prioritise multiple business critical issues.

Manage 3rd party service suppliers/managed service providers to ensure delivery of value for money.

Involvement in all stages of local project delivery cycle from feasibility/technical design through to implementation and support.

Develops and drives data centre metrics to improve processes, efficiencies, and productivity.

Supports concurrent, complex infrastructure deployment projects on time and within budget.

Drives and monitors the production in the Data Centre facility environments to provide uninterrupted service to the customers.


Develops and enhances Data Centre standard operating procedures (SOPs) documentation to maintain consistency and to drive standardised processes which maintain the integrity of the organisational and Engineering systems.


Ensures adherence to emergency response processes, leads, and prioritises recovery plans, and, in conjunction with the Security & Safety Manager, oversees physical security management to protect physical assets and people.


Enforces change management procedures and monitors adherence regarding production changes to ensure compliance, to anticipate and address potential impact on business results, and to achieve objectives.

Oversees preventative and operational maintenance to maintain a secure and state-of- the-art environment.

Work with Group Finance in the planning, budgeting, and control of operating and capital expenditure.

Submit all required financial reports.

Managing the delegated budget.


Reviewing and approving the calculation of all special billings, prepare and review all annual budgets, forecasts, management plans, monthly performance reports, and variance reports.

Understand and provide explanations for variances.

Approve invoices for work initiated or managed.

Identify cost and efficiency improvements.


Work with Group HQ and others within the group to ensure multi-site contract leverage to ensure an economy of scale on repeat services.

Manage direct reports and directly employed contractors.


Work with the internal and external team leaders to manage, direct, and coordinate the activities of employeesor contracted personnel or third parties providing services or performing work on site.


Qualify vendors and implement the companys procurement policy, process, and procedures, including tendering projects, using RFPs, purchase orders, and cost tracking templates.

Track vendor performance against contracts and SLAs.

Requirements:
Qualified in the control and switching of electrical systems.

Previous experience in a similar Energy CENTRE Management role.

Formally qualified engineer or equivalent experience.

Authorised Person experience on both High Voltage and Low Voltage electrical systems.


Experience of implementing projects in a technical environment and an awareness of the business and technical issues associated with a managed service environment.

Previous HSE management experience.

Proven management, technical and leadership skills Orientated to problem solving.

Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.

Work well under pressure and to deadlines/targets.

Ability to meet and exceed targets and customers' expectations.

Knowledge of BMS and CAFM systems within a DC environment.

Ability to understand OEMs and other technical documentation.
