Job Description
Join one of Ireland's leading food manufacturing companies as the Operations Manager based in East Limerick. It's a full-time, permanent role. Within the position, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management of daily production operations, ensuring the timely, cost-effective delivery of high-quality products, and promoting a culture of quality, customer service, and continuous improvement within the operations teams. You will be reporting to the General Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Set performance targets for Operations and monitor progress, taking timely corrective actions to address any negative trends.
- Lead teams by providing guidance and direction to operational and functional areas, fostering a proactive and continuous improvement culture.
- Promote a culture of Safety, Quality, People Development, and Continuous Improvement by defining standards and clarifying individual roles and responsibilities.
- Ensure effective training and performance management processes are implemented and followed.
- Oversee departments to ensure adherence to all KPIs, including Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, and People Development.
- Ensure all operational functions and processes are completed in accordance with company policies and statutory legislation.
- Act as the General Manager's deputy in their absence.
- Support external audits.
Requirements:
- 5 years experience in a similar role within a Food Manufacturing Company.
- Ideally experience in a Meat manufacturing company.
- Degree in Food Business/Production or equivalent essential.
- Competent in preparing business strategies and implementing action plans.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills are required.
- Strong knowledge of production systems & leadership skills.
