Job Description

Operations Manager role in a leading food manufacturing company in East Limerick, overseeing daily production operations, quality, customer service, and continuous improvement.

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management of daily production operations, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products, and promoting a culture of quality, customer service, and continuous improvement within the operations teams.

  • Set performance targets for Operations and monitor progress, taking timely corrective actions to address any negative trends.
  • Lead teams by providing guidance and direction to operational and functional areas, fostering a proactive and continuous improvement culture.
  • Promote a culture of Safety, Quality, People Development, and Continuous Improvement by defining standards and clarifying individual roles and responsibilities.
  • Ensure effective training and performance management processes are implemented and followed.
  • Oversee departments to ensure adherence to all KPIs, including Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, and People Development.
  • Ensure all operational functions and processes are completed in accordance with company policies and statutory legislation.
  • Act as the General Manager's deputy in their absence.
  • Support external audits.

Requirements:

  • 5 years experience in a similar role within a Food Manufacturing Company.
  • Ideal experience in a Meat manufacturing company.
  • Degree in Food Business/Production or equivalent essential.
  • Competent in preparing business strategies and implementing action plans.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills required.
  • Strong knowledge of production systems & leadership skills.
