Our client, a dynamic and innovative business, is seeking an ambitious Operations Manager to join their team in Waterford. This opportunity is suited to an individual who is passionate about building a more sustainable future.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Efficient day-to-day operations of the facility in line with established KPIs
- Leading an operations team, including plant supervisors, general operatives, and maintenance operatives
- Working with the EHS Manager to ensure compliance with EPA licence, insurance requirements, and the HSA
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Supporting a positive and safe company culture
- Developing inductions and continuously improving the team through hiring, onboarding, training, and performance reviews
- Writing and implementing SOPs
- Quality control of outgoing material
- Project management of internal projects
- Budgetary management
The successful individual will have:
- Relevant 3rd level qualifications
- A proven track record of leading a multifaceted team
- A passion for the sustainability space and continuous learning and development
- Highly organised, flexible, and inquisitive by nature
- Ability to multi-task and work well within a team environment
