Operations Quality Engineer
Abbott is a global healthcare leader with a portfolio of life-changing technologies spanning diagnostics, medical devices, nutritional products, and branded generic medicines.
As an Operations Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products, processes, and systems.
- Analyse quality standards for components, materials, or services
- Apply measures, sampling methods, testing methodology, and other procedures to ensure quality standards are met
- Provide quality expertise and guidance to manufacturing, technical, and product test teams
- Conduct inspections, verifications, and validations of components or materials used in development processes
- Identify and address recurring problems with product quality or testing procedures
- Document quality issues and performance measures for management review
- Support equipment and software validation activities and process validation activities
- Investigate customer complaints and forward reports to the quality assurance group
- Responsible for maintaining an appropriate balance of quality, compliance, and business risk
Key qualifications and experience include:
- Minimum NFQ Level 7 qualification in Engineering or Manufacturing
- 2 years in a manufacturing, science, or engineering environment
- GMP/GDP experience
- ISO 13485 experience
- Yellow belt qualification desired
