Operations Systems & Standards Specialist

ESB Networks is seeking an experienced Operations Systems & Standards Specialist to join our team in Leopardstown, Dublin.

As a key member of our Operations Team, you will be responsible for standardising existing and new operational practices, working closely with the wider DMSO team to provide operational knowledge and guidance, and developing operational instructions templates for generation & demand customers on the Distribution System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational knowledge and guidance to the wider DMSO team
  • Work with the DMSO team on Operations Systems (SCADA, OMS, Cello etc.) and its application within NDCC
  • Develop Operational Instructions templates for generation & demand customers on the Distribution System
  • Develop SLD standard configuration for generation & demand customers on the Distribution System
  • Develop signal list standards and signal lists for new technology connections
  • Provide support to System performance Manager in MV Centralised Control activities
  • Interaction with Eir Grid and customers on operational standards
  • Input into Operational and Asset Management policy

Requirements:

  • Technical qualification or equivalent work experience
  • Full clean driving licence
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong knowledge of existing operational policies, procedures and Electrical Safety Rules
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and reporting skills
  • Knowledge of network assets and standards, substations and protection
  • Enthusiastic and motivated team player
  • Strong IT skills and technical capability

Salary starting from €55,000 per annum
