Operations & Transport Manager role requires a proactive and enthusiastic individual to manage day-to-day logistics activities and drive commercial strategy for a well-established SME Business in the Cork area.

Key responsibilities include managing logistics activities, leading clearance processes, coordinating transportation services, driving commercial strategy, collaborating with team members and external partners, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, at least 10 years of experience in operations & transport focused roles, expert knowledge of international shipping and transport, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day logistics activities, including tracking shipments, managing schedules, and coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Lead the clearance process for shipments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
• Coordinate transportation services to guarantee timely and efficient delivery of goods, liaising with transportation providers and monitoring the progress of shipments.
• Drive commercial and business strategy in line with operational objectives.
• Collaborate with team members and external partners to resolve issues and identify efficiency improvements to streamline logistics operations.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure that all logistics activities are aligned and executed smoothly.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in operations & transport focused roles with experience in EMEA & US customs clearance.
• Expert knowledge of international shipping and transport.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on your own initiative but also within a team.
