Job Description

Oracle Database Technical Expert

A highly skilled Oracle Database Technical Expert is required to provide technical expertise for the support of the Oracle Database estate managed by the team.

This role involves providing technical expertise for the support of the Oracle Database estate managed by the team, including supporting and taking ownership of complex incident escalation, performance analysis and tuning, Application Development support through-out the project change lifecycle, support ongoing patching, upgrades and maintenance activities, Oracle security initiatives, Oracle Backup and Recovery management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Oracle Database support including out-of-hours and on-call support.
  • Proactive capacity management of the Oracle Database environments.
  • Proactive performance analysis tuning of the Oracle Database environments.
  • Support currency activities for the Oracle estate including patching and upgrades as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 10 years' experience in Oracle Database Engineering.
  • Expert knowledge of the following: Oracle 19c, Oracle 23AI, Exadata, RAC, Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, Recovery Appliance.
