ESB strives to foster an effective and inclusive culture where people engage, challenge and feel connected to our purpose, colleagues, customers and community.Position DescriptionThe Overhaul Project Manager is responsible for the management of large capital overhaul projects and other key projects in the business in addition to maintaining, optimising and enhancing the project management capability and competency to meet business needs. While the Overhaul Project Manager will be required to support other projects within Dublin Stations, initially, you will be responsible for delivering the 2026-2029 Major Overhauls in Poolbeg Power Station.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate as part of the wider Dublin Stations management team in delivering against targets in the Dublin Stations Business Plan.Deliver the 2026-2029 Major Overhaul at Poolbeg Power Station.Manage a multi-disciplinary Project and Engineering team and foster a culture of team spirit, shared knowledge and mentoring.Manage delivery of projects, incl. safety management, schedule management, cost management and contractor management utilising ESB PMO methodology.Ensure technical training and development plans are in place to maintain skills within the team.Lead project management for overhauls/projects and provide leadership and oversight to the project teams.Ensure overhauls and projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety and quality in accordance with the company's governance procedures.Ensure overhauls are delivered in line with ESB Long Term Asset Plans and ESB Technical Standards.Manage relationships with relevant stakeholders, clients, suppliers and partners.Support internal / external communications and collaboration activities.Provide overhaul financial reporting to ESB Project Board and Overhaul Program Board.Knowledge, Skills and ExperiencePrevious experience in working on and delivering Major Overhauls of CCGT Power plant.Experience with ESB’s Project Delivery Methodology or alternate project management processes.Experience in leading the preparation of technical specifications.The successful candidate will have a proven ability to lead, empower and motivate staff to achieve optimum performance.Project Management and/or other professional qualifications.QualificationsA primary engineering degree or equivalent work experience is essential.LocationThe successful candidate will be based in Dublin Stations.
