**Packaging Engineer Job Description**
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of new packaging designs, ensuring they meet industry and corporate standards.
You will work closely with internal and external partners to develop package designs for new product launches, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and growth.
**About the Role:**
- Participate in product design teams and perform packaging functions, including design, analysis, and technical writing.
- Coordinate and perform package testing for distribution and integrity tests.
- Develop and maintain documentation, and track through approval cycles and implementation.
- Maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers and support staff.
- Analyze problems in design and process development, and recommend solutions.
- Prepare and present project updates and technical discussions.
- Travel to other sites, conferences, or training events as needed.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor of Science degree in Packaging or BSME or a similar subject.
- 2+ years of experience in an R&D Engineering environment.
- Package design or package testing experience is a distinct advantage.
- Experience with medical grade packaging materials.
- Familiarity with ASTM procedures related to package testing.
- FDA Quality System Requirements and GMP experience.
- Packaging equipment process experience, including IQ, OQ, and PQ.
- Understanding of packaging supplier manufacturing processes.
- Ability to specify appropriate packaging materials for optimal designs.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
