We are committed to equal employment opportunities that foster an inclusive environment.POSITION SUMMARYThis position will lead and manage the Packaging Department in GWWO alongside the current Packaging Manager. This position will ensure the department operates in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner at all times.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure the Department is adhering to Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times.Perform risk assessments where required in relation to people and process.Ensure that the schedule is achieved each week and justify when not achieved.Identify issues, document and close out as soon as possible.Analyze opportunities for improvements, document and implement to achieve maximum output while being compliant and safe.Reduce operational and material expenses related to the area of responsibility.Manage a team of approximately 70+ people through regular feedback and 1:1s.Hiring of new team members for Packaging.Ensure batches are released in the required time frame with the “right first time” approach.Develop the teams to be trained and competent across the different lines and operations.Develop and maintain working relationships with cross-functional teams.Minimize generation of deviations by ensuring that all relevant documentation reflects current processes.Provide on-the-floor support for troubleshooting processing issues and lead manufacturing investigations into process deviations.Manage the Packaging support team.Work alongside Maintenance and Packaging Technical team.Provide regular reports and information for management.Other duties that may be assigned from management.PERSON SPECIFICATIONCompetent in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.Knowledge and experience in SAP Production Modules.Good organizational skills.Flexibility.Results-oriented.SME in packaging equipment.Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial position.Compliant.Qualifications: Minimum of B.Sc Degree or equivalent third-level education or at least 5 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing role managing people.Our Benefits Include:Highly competitive salary.Group pension scheme - Contribution rates are 5% employer and 5% employee.Private Medical Insurance for the employee.Ongoing opportunities for career development in a rapidly expanding work environment.Succession planning and internal promotions.Wellness activities - Social activities e.g. Padel, Summer Events.We understand that self-doubt can hold talented individuals back from applying for opportunities.
