We are currently recruiting for seasonal Park Operatives (both driver & non-driver) for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council from now through to September/October.The role: Undertake work of a ground's maintenance and horticultural nature throughout the Parks Service.Location: Newtownabbey AreaHourly Rate: Driver £14.08 per hour; Non-Driver £13.62 per hourWorking Pattern: Mon, Tues, Weds 8-430pm, Thurs 8-330pm, Fri 8-230pmThe ideal candidate will have:Experience of working within a small teamA positive attitude and flexible approachWorking knowledge of grass cutting, and grounds maintenance techniquesKnowledge of Health and Safety RegulationsAs the post involves significant physical and manual handling elements, the post holder must be of a satisfactory level of general fitnessAbility to work in an outdoor environment in all types of weatherWilling to work overtime from time to time to meet the requirements of the serviceWilling to work the pattern set out above. This pattern is under review and may be subject to change following consultation.
