Pastry Chef Opportunity at Hodson Bay Hotel
We are seeking a skilled and ambitious Pastry Chef to join our team at Hodson Bay Hotel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating exquisite pastries and desserts that exceed our guests' expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the production of high-quality pastries and desserts in accordance with menu requirements.
- Stay knowledgeable about the day's business and be familiar with the menu and any daily specials.
- Participate in menu planning and ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the approved standard of presentation and are free from unnecessary wastage.
- Adhere to excellent food hygiene practices throughout the food chain, from storage to preparation and service.
- Ensure HACCP compliance within the kitchen and all Food & Beverage outlets.
- Maintain the kitchen equipment in good working order and report any maintenance issues to your supervisor.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar position is essential.
- A background and interest in pastry are required.
- Qualification in Pastry is desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills and a focus on providing a consistently high standard of service are essential.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are necessary.
