Job Description

Join Citi's Payments Compliance team as a Product Compliance Risk Officer, working on Citi's Transformation efforts and focusing on Payments products, activities, and regulatory matters.

The successful candidate will assist with Citi's compliance transformation efforts, including internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes, and programs to prevent violations of law, rule, or regulation. You will engage with the ICRM Product and Function coverage teams to develop and apply ICRM program solutions that meet the product and customer needs in a manner consistent with the Citi programme framework.

The role involves working across several coverage areas and building on compliance skills such as monitoring, product reviews, policy development, international transactions, regulatory change, product support, and training development and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, deliver, and maintain best-in-class Compliance programmes, policies, and practices for ICRM.
  • Support transformation efforts on key regulations applicable to Payments, including the second Payments Services Directive (PSD2) and the forthcoming PSD3.
  • Participate in Services Payments governance and risk management forums to provide effective guidance and credible challenge in relation to compliance risk matters.
  • Provide guidance on rules and regulations relating to product operational issues, as well as provide transactional approvals and interpretation of internal compliance policies.
  • Collaborate with other internal areas, including Legal, Business Management, Operations, Technology, Finance, and other Control Functions in the Payments business to address compliance issues which may impact the supported product.
  • Develop and administer Compliance training for the supported product.
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks, and typologies.
  • Self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptive.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, navigate a complex organization, and handle multiple projects at one time.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in compliance, legal, or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof.
  • Strong working knowledge of payments and the related operations and financial requirements.
