Payments Operations Manager| Hybrid | Ireland An expanding financial services company seeking a Payments Operations Manager to join their well established team in Dublin. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for an individual who is passionate about leading operational excellence. The company requires an experienced people leader. The Payments Operations Manager will provide subject matter expertise in the setting up and managing of a payments function for a new Deposit taking and Current Account providers. The Payments Operations Manager will have the chance to lead a high-performing team and have ample opportunities to grow their skills and advance their career. Responsibilities Lead the setup and management of a payments function for a new deposit-taking and current account provider. Provide leadership and insights to drive the success of the payments function from its inception. Ensure seamless integration of these systems, optimizing for accuracy, speed, and compliance. Oversee the full lifecycle of payment transactions, from receipt through to backend regulatory reporting. Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments in accordance with financial controls and regulatory requirements. Act as the primary contact for internal stakeholders, including Finance & Treasury, Business Operations, Fraud, AML, Internal Audit, and Compliance. Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry standards that impact the payments function. Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures for the payments function. Regularly review and update policies to reflect changes in regulations or business needs. Requirements 5+ years experience managing payments functions ideally within a bank Knowledge of payment systems, including SEPA, Target, SWIFT, CHAPS, Previous experience in banking in Ireland Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to payments. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
