Title: Payments Specialist Location: Cork Fixed Term Contract Fully Onsite Our client is a Pharmaceutical company that develops innovative medicines in the areas of unmet medical needs. They are looking to add an experienced Payments Specialist to their Finance department. The role will involve serving as the company contact for all EMEA payments, employee expenses, dealing with VAT related tasks and working with platforms such as SAP and Oracle. The Payments specialist will also be responsible for working with cash management and PTP accounting teams. This is a Fixed Term 15 month maternity cover Contract Responsibilities: Processing Inter-company payments Running of weekly multi-currency SAP batch payments Process employee and supplier expense payments Using internal ticketing system to manage queries Processing Tax, VAT, Product payments, travel advances and interview expenses Completing month-end in conjunction with wider PTP accounting team Working on bank reconciliation with cash management and PTP accounting teams Maintenance of payment approval schedule and bank matrix Preparation and maintenance of payment templates in BOA and HSBC systems Maintain desk-top procedures for the duties carried out by this role Follow up on internal and external audit requests as required Involvement in PTP Continuous Improvement projects Testing for payments in any ERP upgrades or changes Perform other duties and projects as assigned Qualifications and Experience An effective team-player with energy and enthusiasm.
