Job Description

Payroll Associate role at ICON plc, a world-leading healthcare intelligence and clinical research organization, involves ensuring accurate payroll processing and compliance.

As a Payroll Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring inputs to payrolls are completed and trial and final payroll outputs are checked prior to salary payments being made
  • Implementing internal controls to capture and process monthly changes correctly and reconciling any differences
  • Uploading electronic files and inputting manual payments to the bank
  • Managing the Payroll mailbox to ensure queries are answered in a timely manner and filed appropriately
  • Ensuring all monthly and annual tax, pension, and compliance requirements are met
  • Providing timely and accurate reporting to internal and external auditors
  • Working with the Payroll team to ensure processes are efficient, documented, and SOX compliant

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Experience of Payroll processes
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service
  • Ability to work under pressure, to strict deadlines with a high volume of transactions
  • Attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
