Payroll Associate role at ICON plc, a world-leading healthcare intelligence and clinical research organization, involves ensuring accurate payroll processing and compliance.
As a Payroll Associate, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring inputs to payrolls are completed and trial and final payroll outputs are checked prior to salary payments being made
- Implementing internal controls to capture and process monthly changes correctly and reconciling any differences
- Uploading electronic files and inputting manual payments to the bank
- Managing the Payroll mailbox to ensure queries are answered in a timely manner and filed appropriately
- Ensuring all monthly and annual tax, pension, and compliance requirements are met
- Providing timely and accurate reporting to internal and external auditors
- Working with the Payroll team to ensure processes are efficient, documented, and SOX compliant
Key skills and qualifications include:
- Experience of Payroll processes
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service
- Ability to work under pressure, to strict deadlines with a high volume of transactions
- Attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
