6 month daily rate contract Belfast office/ hybrid Payroll lead About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Payroll Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned payroll consultant with a strong operational background in UK payroll, along with experience in payroll system implementation. This role requires someone who can navigate the complexities of payroll management, ensuring smooth transitions to outsourced payroll providers. Previous experience in the public sector would be highly advantageous. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process for employees. Lead payroll system implementation projects, ensuring smooth integration and operational efficiency. Work closely with internal stakeholders and outsourced payroll providers to streamline payroll processes. Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation and regulations, including tax, pensions, and other statutory requirements. Provide strategic input and insights into payroll policies and process improvements. Offer expert guidance and support on payroll queries and issues. Key Requirements: Proven experience in UK payroll operations. Strong track record in payroll system implementation and managing payroll transitions to outsourced providers. Experience within the public sector is highly desirable. In-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements. Excellent attention to detail, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
