Job Description

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Manager to join a leading Irish technology company, headquartered in Dublin with clients across Europe.

Responsible for delivering the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll execution for all employees in Ireland and across multiple EMEA locations.


The role involves managing an internal payroll team, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing, maintaining payroll data integrity, as well as collaborating with an outsourced payroll provider, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.


The Payroll Manager will collaborate closely with the Finance and HR departments to process payroll for new employees, monitor payroll schedules, manage employee benefits and insurance plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire payroll process across multiple countries and regions in EMEA, ensuring it is executed accurately and on time.
  • Guarantee compliance with relevant tax laws, regulatory requirements, and internal payroll policies.
  • Supervise and mentor the payroll team, offering guidance and support to maintain smooth operations.
  • Ensure the accurate upkeep and secure storage of all payroll records and related documentation.
  • Lead yearend processes such as tax reporting, annual statements, and compliance filings for each country.
  • Design and implement payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance, accuracy, and data security.
  • Continuously review and enhance Standard Operating Procedures and training materials to optimize payroll processes.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to address payrollrelated issues and improve overall efficiency.
  • Act as the key contact during payroll tax audits, ensuring full compliance and audit readiness.
  • Direct the setup and implementation of payroll systems in new regions as the company expands.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • An IPASS or equivalent payroll or accounting qualification.
  • Proven experience as an International Payroll Manager or in a similar role, with a focus on overseeing payroll operations across multiple countries and regions.
  • Indepth understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems to manage endtoend payroll processing.
  • Experience working with international payroll service providers and managing relationships with external vendors.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving payroll requirements in different countries and regions.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills to efficiently manage payroll teams and processes.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities to address payroll discrepancies and challenges.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with various departments and addressing employee queries.
