Job Description

Our Client is looking to add a Payroll Specialist to their Finance Team on a 16 month contract. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the position will be responsible for the administration of Payroll processes across several countries. Responsibilities Collaborate with HR and payroll providers to maintain a seamless and accurate flow of information, ensuring payrolls are processed correctly, on time, and in compliance with local regulations. Conduct month-end payroll tasks, including journal preparation, accruals, and Balance Sheet reconciliations. Ensure timely local tax payments and compliance with monthly and yearly tax requirements. Implement and monitor controls to capture monthly changes, reconciling and explaining any discrepancies. Organize, participate in, and lead payroll-related meetings and presentations. Provide accurate and timely reports to internal and external agencies, such as tax authorities. Prepare payroll and employee tax payments. Develop and maintain detailed control documentation, including process flows and procedures. Continuously focus on driving efficiency and process improvements. Manage the Payroll SPARC system, ensuring timely responses to emails and proper filing. Collaborate with external providers on specialized payroll matters, such as expatriate and international assignments. Work with internal and external auditors to uphold the integrity of payroll data. Assist with project-related activities as needed. Qualifications and Experience Experience in International Payroll. Familiarity with setting up or managing payroll processes in a Shared Service Centre within a multi-country corporate environment is highly beneficial. Proficiency in Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential, with advanced Excel skills being particularly important. Experience working within deadlines. Good attention to detail. Skilled in process analysis, assessment and improvement and creating a team environment where continuous improvement is encouraged. Preferably IPASS qualified or international equivalent.
