Job Description

Payroll Specialist: Duties: Manage the end-to-end payroll process for both weekly and monthly payrolls for Ireland locations (Cork * 2, Dublin *1), covering over 150+ employees, ensuring completion within set deadlines. Liasing with supervisors / managers regarding the review of timesheets for automatic upload into the payroll software. Calculation of holiday pay and statutory payments such as sick pay, maternity pay, paternity pay etc. Calculations of benefits in kind to be included in the payroll process. Collaborate with the Human Resources team to manage payroll amendments, address issues, and handle general queries. Setting up new employees and terminating leavers on the payroll system. Work closely with the Finance team and Pension Advisors regarding Pensions and the implementation of the future Government auto-enrolment. Accurately perform manual Gross to Net calculations when required. Manage payment and reconciliation of third-party deductions. Implement legislative changes and update procedures as necessary. Complete payroll bank reconciliations in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with tax filing and reconciliation requirements, including PAYE Modernisation. Ensuring adherence to the organisations internal financial controls with regard to payroll processing. Update work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Participate in both internal and external audits. Contribute to various payroll-related projects as needed. Handle internal and external payroll queries efficiently. Oversee the expense procedure, processing expenses for Irish employees and the associated ERR with ROS. Perform other tasks assigned by the manager as needed. Reporting / Others: Produce relevant payroll reports to support finance monthly accruals (holiday accrual) to ensure financial completeness / accuracy. Produce relevant reports to assist production overtime reports by function. Produce expense reports to ensure financial data captured into ERP system. Collaborate with Human Resources Team to produce the gender pay gap report in line with legislation. Administrative requirements associated with role responsibilities.
