Job Description

Payroll Specialist My client, a privately owned IT services provider, is currently recruiting a Payroll Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and verification of monthly payrolls for 500 employees, as well as managing relationships with outsourced payroll providers. This is a hybrid role, requiring one day per week in the office, located in Dublin City Centre. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, verify, and process monthly payrolls, ensuring data accuracy and meeting strict deadlines. Collaborate and manage relationships with outsourced payroll providers to ensure seamless payroll execution. Oversee the processing and reconciliation of employee pension payments, Health Care Benefit in Kind (BIK), and related payments to providers. Handle payroll queries from managers and employees, providing prompt support and managing issue resolutions. Ensure compliance with salary, tax regulations, and reporting requirements, including tax withholdings and payroll expenses. Process and reconcile bank transfers and other payments supporting payroll runs. Complete registration for new hires and manage payroll-related exits, including final payouts. Calculate bonuses, allowances, and intercompany payroll recharges. Manage payroll-related audits and ensure the accurate reflection of employee data in systems. Maintain payroll operations in line with company policies and procedures. Experience & Qualifications: Minimum qualification as an Accounting Technician or Irish Payroll Association (IPASS) certification, or equivalent. At least 2 years of payroll experience. Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel. Strong knowledge of Irish Income Tax and payroll regulations.
