Pension Consultant


A leading firm specializing in employee benefit consultancy and private wealth management, with over 30 years of experience advising companies and personal investors, is seeking a Pension Consultant.

The firm is based in Sandyford, Dublin, and Lapp's Quay, Cork, and manages €10 billion in assets under administration and advice.

The company oversees occupational pension schemes for over 300 large corporates and 600 SMEs, with more than 70,000 members in corporate pension schemes and provides wealth management advice to over 3,000 private clients.

The following opportunity has arisen within our Group Insured Team in Dublin.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with a portfolio of corporate clients.
  • Ensure an effective and compliant governance structure across the portfolio.
  • Handle queries from client companies, trustees, scheme members, and other scheme contacts (e.g., Accountants, Investment Managers, etc.).
  • Prepare for and present at client, trustee, and member meetings.
  • Conduct scheme design and restructuring exercises, implementing agreed changes, benefits, etc.
  • Develop and implement retirement and member engagement programs.
  • Lead a multidisciplined team in delivering services to clients.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Client/Portfolio Management experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Keen attention to detail, with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • Good understanding of the relevant underlying Pensions legislation and regulatory environment.
  • QFA or IIPM qualifications.
  • Full and clean Driving Licence.

  • High energy, enthusiasm, and flexibility with the ability to adapt well to change.
  • Proven ability to lead by example and demonstrate leadership qualities.
  • Ability to plan and share action plans for the team, correctly identifying priorities, capabilities, and resources.
