Job description for a Technical Operations Performance Analyst responsible for analyzing data to identify performance issues and developing technical offer data for power plants and renewable energy sources.
Responsibilities:
- Analysis of data to identify factors influencing plant performance and cooperates with generation locations on performance issues.
- Preparation of performance briefs for each location for the LTAPs process.
- Calculation and analysis of unit-specific start-up and running Variable Operating and Maintenance costs.
- Development and review of unit Technical Offer Data.
- Interaction with Trading on outage planning and performance-related issues.
- Portfolio outage coordination, tracking, and reporting.
- Understanding grid code charges and penalty analysis.
- Preparation of plant and portfolio performance reports and presentation to SMT, Station Managers, and others.
- Conduct of station non-availability reviews and setting of operational and commercial targets.
- Monitoring and reporting on station and portfolio targets to relevant stakeholders.
- Liaison with Asset Performance management team and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3/4 years' technical/operational experience.
- Experience in power plant/heavy industry (thermal and/or renewable) operations, maintenance, and refurbishments.
- Track record of achieving objectives and delivering value for the organisation.
- Stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical capability with an ability to use and develop large-scale data systems and tools with a good knowledge of Excel functions and ability to manipulate large Excel spreadsheets.
Desirable:
- Knowledge and understanding of generation electricity locations' technical characteristics and commercial performance.
- Knowledge and understanding of ISEM and GB Electricity Markets.
- Knowledge of data analytics processes and tools.
