Job Description

A Person In Charge is sought for a management role at Lotus Care Services, overseeing respite and residential services for children and adults, ensuring compliance with HIQA standards and best practice in disability services.

Lotus Care Services is a provider of respite and residential services for children and adults. As a Person In Charge, you will be responsible for the management of the service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective care to service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the service, ensuring compliance with HIQA standards and best practice in disability services.
  • Develop and implement staff rotas, ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times.
  • Ensure all relevant records and documentation are kept up to date, in line with legislation and HIQA requirements.
  • Facilitate and deliver training for staff, as required.
  • Provide supervision and performance management for staff.
  • Lead the team, developing a culture of quality and safety in service delivery.
  • Ensure the service remains compliant with all relevant standards and regulations.
  • Manage resources, including budgets for staffing and overheads.
  • Ensure the health and safety of service users and staff, in line with legislation.
  • Stay up to date with changes in legislation and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must have an Applied Social Care Degree.
  • A Management Qualification is also required.
  • At least 3 years' experience as a team leader or supervisor in the disability sector.
  • Proficient working knowledge of HIQA Standards and Health Act (2007) and associated regulations.
  • Full driving licence.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Contract: Permanent full-time role, working 39 hours per week.
  • Probationary period of six months applies.
  • Annual leave: 22 days per annum for a full-time post, and pro-rata for part-time posts.
  • Garda Clearance and Policy Clearance required.
  • Sick Pay: In line with National Legislation.
