With a team of over 300 dedicated healthcare professionals, we support more than 80 individuals, fostering independence and dignity in daily living. About the Role We are looking for a motivated, compassionate leader to take on the role of Person In Charge (PIC). As a PIC, you will: Lead the home: Oversee day-to-day operations, collaborating with senior management and line managers to make key decisions. Champion the people we support: Be a strong advocate for those in our care, ensuring their needs are met with respect and excellence. Coordinate effectively: Act as a central communicator among families, multi-disciplinary teams, psychologists, senior management, community members, employers, and other stakeholders. Drive best practices: Ensure that all services reflect Aurora's mission and values through professional, empathetic service. This role requires flexibility, teamwork, and a proactive approach to service provision. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator who can motivate and guide others while managing operations smoothly. Qualifications A minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Care Studies, or a relevant Nursing qualification (Intellectual Disability, Psychiatric, General, or Pediatric Nursing). Relevant Management qualification (essential). Registration with CORU, if applicable. Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (manual). Essential Skills and Experience Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience in healthcare. Knowledge and experience in HIQA standards and certification. Proven skills in resource planning, time management, and organization. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on coaching and supporting team members. Excellent interpersonal, networking, and written communication skills.
