**Job Title:** Relief Personal Assistant
**Job Purpose:** To provide a Home Support/Personal Assistance service to older persons and to adults and children with disabilities, enabling them to live with respect and dignity within their own home and community.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a Home Support service to older persons and to adults and children with disabilities.
- Support adults/children with physical and/or sensory disability in their own home.
- Assist clients in all Activities of Daily Living, including transfer, washing, toileting, feeding, etc.
- Facilitate clients to maintain and promote their independence.
**Requirements:
- A relevant FETAC Healthcare qualification or equivalent is desirable.
- On the job QQI Level 5 training provided.
- Experience of working with elderly persons and/or with physical and sensory disabilities.
- Experience in the provision of home-based services.
- Experience of managing and maintaining a focus on Health, Safety, Hygiene and good house-keeping guidelines and ensuring best practice.
