You'll collaborate with industry experts to deepen your understanding of your project. With mentorship and coaching, you'll face exciting challenges that will help you build a successful career in this dynamic field. Expect some travel to various construction sites and company locations as part of the role.Project OutlineOur key site locations for these roles will be at sites on Uisce Éireann and the A5. We have offices in Galway, Sligo, Monaghan, and Letterkenny, as well as additional sites along the west coast of Ireland.As a Placement Civil Construction Engineer, your duties will include:Undertaking surveys and setting-out on sitePreparation of drawings and calculations to ensure quality control and compliance procedures are adhered to for engineeringMonitoring construction progress to ensure that deadlines are being metLiaising with clients and carrying out site investigationsCoordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and other parties involved in the construction project to ensure that all work is completed according to specifications.Liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering and the pricing of materialsEnsuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.Required Skills and ExperienceStudying a Civil or Construction/Project Management DegreeHold a full UK driving licensePassionate about starting a career in the civils industryHigh attention to detail coupled with meticulous planning and organisational skillsDemonstrate a strong interest in all aspects of engineering and looking for a dynamic workplace that provides an outstanding career opportunityExcellent communication skills, able to work flexibly in a team and be a hard workerWhat we can offer youOur employees are at the core of everything we do.
