Excellent job opportunity for an experienced Planner to join operations team of company based in County Cork specialising in Environmental Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, development and scheduling of all Hazardous Waste Shipments from the site, and will report into the Operations Manager. Ideal candidate will be highly organised with effective communication skills to manage and coordinate with teams and suppliers etc. An analytical mindset is required to pre plan for any potential issues/challenges based on logistics data. Maintaining precise documentation and record keeping, along with environmental awareness important. Duties: Plan efficient transportation routes for hazardous waste shipments, considering safety regulations and environmental impact Ensure compliance with legal requirements for the carriage of dangerous goods Assess risks associated with hazardous materials transportation and develop mitigation strategies Work closely with the Risk and Assurance team and Technical and Dangerous Goods team Maintain accurate records of shipments, including manifests, labels, and safety data sheets Work closely with operations teams, drivers, and regulatory authorities Ensure job related costs including additional charges are controlled and processed efficiently Additional Ad hoc duties as outlined by your manager Requirements: Relevant Qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain Management etc. Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser- DGSA Certification (Desirable) 3-5 years experience in similar role Skills: Planning Logistics Management DGSA Project Management Scheduling Benefits: Annual Bonus / 13th Cheque Medical Aid / Health Care Pension Fund
