Job Description
My client, a Tier 1 Main Contractor, is seeking an experienced and talented Planner to join their team in Dublin. This role involves creating, maintaining, reviewing, and administering project programmes and schedules throughout the project lifecycle, from Tender through to Construction stages. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain robust project schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, working closely with the Project Manager and Contracts Manager. Break large jobs into manageable phases and use project management tools and stakeholder input to plan timeframes. Liaise with project teams to discuss project lifecycle stages Participate in pre-construction schedule reviews and attend tender briefings/site visits Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers Prioritize workload to meet short deadlines Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders Present information and highlight issues for internal review during tender and construction stages. Collaborate with the Design Development Team and external design stakeholders Support the project management team with acceleration/delay mitigation schedules Analyze project information to prepare high-level reports Recommend and implement modifications to improve schedule effectiveness Requirements: Proficient in Asta Powerproject & MS Project for creating and managing schedules, and familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledgeable in Site Progress Mobile and its integration with Asta Powerproject. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a methodical approach to problem-solving. Strong understanding of engineering and construction principles, sequencing, and time management.
