Position: PLC Programmer Location: County Galway Salary: €40,000 - €50,000 per annum Exciting Opportunity: PLC Programmer in County Galway! About Our Client: Our client, a leading company based in County Galway, is seeking an experienced PLC Programmer to join their dynamic engineering team. This role involves developing, programming, and maintaining PLC systems to enhance production processes and ensure seamless automation across the facility. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and program PLC systems to automate and optimize production processes. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with existing PLC systems and related automation equipment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, production, and engineering, to implement and improve automation solutions. Conduct regular maintenance, updates, and modifications to PLC systems to enhance system performance and reliability. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all PLC programs, configurations, and modifications. Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies in all PLC-related activities. Provide technical support and training to production and maintenance teams on PLC systems and best practices. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase production efficiency and reduce downtime. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field. Proven experience in PLC programming, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and associated programming languages. Familiarity with HMI development and SCADA systems is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
