Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in Blackrock Frascati, providing high-quality care to patients with various foot and ankle conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Treat a variety of skin ailments, including verrucas, corns, and calluses.
  • Assess and treat ingrown toenails, clip toe nails, and perform general feet tidy-ups.
  • Determine the condition of patients' feet, ankles, or lower legs through medical history review, physical examination, and patient concerns.
  • Diagnose foot, ankle, and lower-leg problems through physical exams and other methods.
  • Provide treatment for foot, ankle, and lower-leg ailments, including prescribing special shoe inserts (orthotics).
  • Give advice and instruction on foot and ankle care and general wellness techniques.
  • Educate patients on how to improve and/or manage conditions.
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals to exchange information about patients' backgrounds and progress.
  • Refer patients to other physicians or specialists if larger health problems are detected.
  • Meet continuous education requirements and maintain an up-to-date CPD folder.
  • Write patient case notes and reports, collect statistics, and manage payments and receipts.
  • Place stock orders and log repairs.
  • Supervise student and junior podiatrists and enhance teaching skills.
  • Manage clinical risk and have excellent infection control awareness.
  • Be caring, compassionate, and professional, with the patient at the core of everything.
  • Help create blogs and content for marketing channels.
  • Work with the marketing team and provide on-the-ground feedback.

Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc in Podiatry (essential).
  • CORU registration (essential).
  • Member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists Ireland (SCPI) (essential).
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance (essential).
  • Private practice experience (preferred).
