Job Summary:

Plan and manage access to railway infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

About the Role:

The Possession Planner is responsible for developing, planning, and delivering access plans for railway infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage access to railway infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Identify and manage interface risks associated with multiple tasks and groups.
  • Review and confirm that relevant task PICs have assessed and implemented controls to manage risks associated with task delivery.
  • Lead and manage the planning process for all worksites, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of railway geography, access capability, and requirements.
  • Numerate and literate.
  • Knowledge of relevant train services and capacity.
  • Risk assessing.
  • Knowledge of possession standards and parameters.
  • Presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to make critical decisions based on evidence.
